Servus Credit Union introduces new Board of Directors
Owners of Servus Credit Union exercised their democratic rights and selected four new members to the Board of Directors in elections held during February 2010.
Newly elected to the Board were: Helen Cheung of Edmonton; Amy Corrigan of Red Deer; Perry Dooley of Medicine Hat; and Simon Neigum of Medicine Hat. They were elected to three year terms which began immediately after results were announced to owners at the Annual General Meeting on March 16, 2010.
The Board of Directors selected Peter Elzinga of Edmonton as the new Chair of the Board in an internal selection process. Doug Hastings of Lloydminster was selected as Vice Chair. Chosen to committees were:
- Audit & Finance - Alison Starke (Chair), Peter Galloway (Vice Chair), Perry Dooley, Terry Cooper
- Enterprise Risk Management - Penny Reeves (Chair), Bill Anhorn (Vice Chair), Terry Cooper, Simon Neigum
- Governance & Human Resources - Merv Loewen (Chair), Helen Cheung (Vice Chair), Amy Corrigan, Doug Hastings
Continuing their terms on the Servus Credit Union Board of Directors are: William J. (Bill) Anhorn of Medicine Hat; Terry Cooper of Medicine Hat; Peter Galloway of Fort Saskatchewan; Merv Loewen of Lloydminster; Penny Reeves of St. Albert; and Alison Starke of Lloydminster.
Leaving the Board were Rene Dumas of Grande Prairie; Randy Harper of Red Deer; Bob Porozni of St. Paul; and Lloyd Robinson of Bow Island. The Board expressed their appreciation and gratitude for their service.
The four new Board members were elected by eligible owners from a slate of 15 candidates. Voting was held in-branch and online between February 6 and 19, 2010. Slightly less than 2,000 owners voted. 277 owners attended the AGM in person in Red Deer and another 87 at six satellite locations. Webcast numbers were not known at the time of writing.
